THE ULTIMATE SUMMER SHAKESPEARIENCE

The Freewill Shakespeare Festival is all about celebrating why the Bard’s works are still relevant today. Whether you’re a Shakespeare nut or a Shakespeare newbie, when you come to the Festival, take a quick glance at the synopses provided and you’ll be set to enjoy an amazing performance. General seating is available under the canopy but you can also bring a blanket and watch performances from the grass. Hint: it’s a really romantic date night.

In addition to seeing a great performance, you can enjoy a picnic (bring your own or pick one up at the Festival), a drink at the Freewill Wine & Beer Patio, and a stroll through one of Edmonton’s loveliest parks.

TIME:

Performances run alternate evenings at 8:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday, June 30 to July 26. Matinees are only on Saturdays
and Sundays at 2pm

Titus Andronicus previews on June 30 and opens July 2. It is performed on even dates at 8 pm, evenings only.

Comedy of Errors previews on July 1 and opens on July 3, it runs
on the odd dates at 8 pm and all Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2pm.
